Maria Kennedy began her coaching career at Howell Intermediate in Victoria under the leadership of Jan Lahodny. Kennedy continued coaching at a number of schools before moving to El Paso and becoming an Assistant Athletic Director. Serving under then-Athletic Director Ken Owen gave her valuable experience to apply in her current role of Athletic Director of El Paso ISD. Kennedy oversees the athletics programs in 11 high schools and 17 middle schools. Kennedy currently serves on the NIAAA Committee and as the current Region 4 Director.
